FOOD TRUCK FRIDAY (6/18): Jambalaya Bros (Cajun-inspired) and Kona Ice

This week OSRC will be taking a food-cation to the Louisiana Bayou with the Jambalaya Bros food truck, featuring Louisiana native owner-chef Jared Bourgeois’ authentic Cajun cuisine.

Jambalaya Bros is accepting preorders now at www.jambalayabros.com:

  1. Click “Order Now” from the main menu
  2. Click the second red button (“All other Jambalaya Bros events”)
  3. Click the blue “Place an Order” button
  4. Enter your name and mobile number and click “Build My Order”
  5. Select Friday, 6/18 as the date and indicate your preferred pick-up time (OSRC location will pre-populate)
  6. Order your dinner!

After you enjoy some jambalaya, gumbo, or etouffee, cool off with a sno-cone from Kona Ice! Kona Ice will also be serving up icy treats for swimmers attending the Swim Team pep rally.

And don’t forget your food donation for the OSRC Summer Food Drive. Add a few items to your grocery list each week, and help us reach our goal of collecting 2,021 pounds of food before Labor Day! A collection box is available all week in the OSRC guard shack.

Starting this week, we are inviting both the Otter Swim and Dive teams to participate in the food drive as part of “Otters Give Back.” We’ll be running combined Swim/Dive age-group competitions (8&U/pups, 9-12, 13+) to see which age group can collect the most food by the end of the season. To make sure your donation counts for your age group, please use the “Otters Give Back” collection boxes in the social room. We’ll weigh and report back on the tally each week–and announce winners at the end of the season.
